Tutorials
Theme Options
This is where you'll find most of the settings for your Covert Store Builder site - and the following goes through all the options explaining what they do. Note that you must click the "Save Options" button at the bottom of the "Theme Options" page to save your changes and make them appear on your blog.
Color Schemes
Click on one of the color scheme buttons to instantly change the entire look of your store to that template. Note that this will overwrite any color template changes you have made previously. You don't have to use any of these templates if you prefer to manually edit the look of your store, but they are the easiest way to edit the look of your site. NB if you are using an image/logo for your custom header, you may have to go turn off text from your header again after pressing one of the template buttons.
General Options
Favicon
The theme comes with a standard favicon image. But if you wish to use a custom one you can add it here - either by uploading an image or linking to one hosted elsewhere (note that the favicon image must be 16x16 pixels).
Default Open Graph Image
This is the the default image to use if no image is found when people share your pages on for example Facebook. This would most likely be your site's logo. Either upload an image or link to one hosted elsewhere.
Custom Default Post Image
Here you can add a default image that will be used if a post/product does not have any images associated with it. Either upload an image or link to one hosted elsewhere (note that the default image must be 300x250 pixels)

Additional Header Scripts/Styles
This section is completely optional - and if it doesn't make any sense to you - don't worry you probably shouldn't be using it then.
But you can use this section to quickly add additional scripts or CSS to the themes header. This could for example be used to add a tracking script.
Additional Home Page Scripts/HTML/Text
This section is also completely optional - but you can use it to enter any text or HTML you like. Whatever you enter here will appear at the bottom of your home page (after the page numbers) - this is handy for adding more SEO friendly text to your affiliate store.
Theme Ads
Here you can set up ads to be shown in between your posts on the home page(s). Note that your ads must be 300 pixels (or less) wide and 440 pixel (or less) high. Remember to click on the "Save Ads" button to save any changes you have made.

Widgets
The Covert Store Builder Theme has 8 widget ready areas. You can drag widgets on to these in the same way as you would in other widget ready WordPress themes. The 8 areas are:
- Featured Posts Sidebar: this will show in the top right hand corner of your site. NB: this widget area is limited in size to 300x250 pixels!
- Single Post Sidebar: this is the optional sidebar you can show to the left or right on your single posts. Note that this sidebar has a fixed width of 300 pixels but the height is unlimited.
- Single Page Sidebar: this is the optional sidebar you can show to the left or right on your pages. Note that this sidebar has a fixed width of 300 pixels but the height is unlimited.
- Category Page Sidebar: this is the optional sidebar you can show to the left or right on your category pages. Note that this sidebar has a fixed width of 300 pixels but the height is unlimited.
- Wishlist Pge Sidebar: this is the optional sidebar you can show to the left or right on your wishlist pages. Note that this sidebar has a fixed width of 300 pixels but the height is unlimited.
- Footer Area 1-3: The theme footer is split up in 3 fully widget ready areas.
Covert Store Builder also comes with two custom widgets called...
Most Popular Products: shows the most popular products by click through rate. Choose how many to show (even number looks best) - you can also change the widget title if you like. (note that this widget is image based and not designed to have any text)
Newest Products: shows the most recently added products. Choose how many to show (even number looks best) - you can also change the widget title if you like. (note that this widget is image based and not designed to have any text)
Menus
Here you can create custom menus just like in other WordPress themes. However in the Covert Store Builder theme custom menus can only be used as widgets in your sidebars and footer.
Header
Header Image
Initially the logo space in the header will be filled out with your blog's "Site Title", if you are happy with this you can skip the "header image" setup. But if you want you can add a 970 × 130 pixels header/logo image. Use the box to choose which image to upload, if it's 970 × 130 pixels it will be used as is - if not you will get the option to crop the image.
Note that if you are using text there is limited space for your blog title in the logo area. You can use a short title under "Settings => General" and use a free plugin like "All in one SEO" to display a more SEO friendly title to the search engines.
Header Text

This turns your blog title on/off for the header. If you have uploaded a header image you can also use this to show your text overlaid on the image.

Editor
This is the standard WordPress theme editor where you can edit in the source code for all the files in your theme. Note that in order to save any changes your theme files need to have their permissions (chmod) set to writeable (666).
We do not recommend using the editor unless you know what you are doing as you may break the functionality of the theme
Furthermore if you use the editor for any major changes we highly recommend doing it on a "child theme". Covert Store Builder comes with free lifetime updates and each time you update the theme to the latest version you would lose some or all of your changes (if you don't use a child theme). Don't worry - If you are not using the editor there is no need for a child theme.
CSB Products
This is where you set up your affiliate IDs for the various networks. You need to set up at least one before you can start importing products to your store. Remember to click on "Update Settings" to save any changes.

The normal post area is used if you want to add your own content to your Covert Store Builder blog. The post area works just the same as in any other WordPress theme. With one important exception, you must add a featured image to your post. If you are posting your own content you need to leave the "Product Details" fields blank.
Pages
Add New
